Welcome to the Detroit International Jazz Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Detroit International Jazz Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Detroit International Jazz Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Detroit International Jazz Festival Hart Plaza plays host to four days of jazz during the Detroit International Jazz Festival.
The event features six stages and a total of more than 100 performances. Highlights of the excellent program have included The Funk Brothers, the James Cotton Blues Band, Taj Mahal and Root Doctor, Ahmad Jamal, Sergio Mendes and Joan Osborne and Dr John and the Lower 911, Mose Allison and the Dirty Dozen Bras Band .
